String Machine
-Roko Zaper
NOTES: The String Machine is a sketch I have had in my mind for a long time. It came to me while listening to String Machine (Coral Prison Mix) by Nobuo Uematsu and FFmusic DJ respectively. I wanted to make a comment about conformism and a tribute to the endurance of Australia's mystery and beauty. Both the old man and the young would-be-raver find something unexpected by not conforming to the demands of mainstream society. The string machine is simply a metaphor for the rythm of life, which is free and unconditional. I also wanted it to be a small tribute to my late uncle, who came to characterize for me the continuous movement of life and the will to live. |
